Arranmore Island

Arranmore Island is located just 3 miles off the coast of Burtonport, Co. Donegal.

A short ferry trip will get you to the island in 20 minutes. You are immediately met with a beach, kids playground, bars, cafes and accommodation services. There are a number of designated tourist routes to take in the whole island on foot, bike or by car!

The island has beautiful beaches and scenery. You can walk in any direction from the ferry pier and find yourself among beautiful landscapes.

The island is a part of the Arranmore Island - Burtonport Blueway

Arranmore Island - Burtonport Blueway or Árainn Mhór - Ailt an Chorráin as it is known in the Irish Language.

It is the first accredited marine blueway and the first to be located on an island. Arranmore Island is situated off the coast of County Donegal on the magnificent Wild Atlantic Way . Wild and untamed, the Island has a rich and vibrant heritage and culture, with the Gaelic traditions still thriving on the Island. The clear waters of the surrounding Atlantic Ocean of Arranmore Island provide the perfect maritime leisure destination for those who love to get out and about.
